Attracting & Retaining Talent. Establishing Significance & Pride. When people step onto the ASML campus in San Diego, they often have no idea that they’re walking into a company every bit as visionary as Google or SpaceX. Headquartered in Veldhoven, Netherlands, ASML is a leading global innovator in the field of microchip lithography. Its employees engineer breakthroughs that are smaller than the eye can see – but have a massive impact on the way we experience communication, entertainment, education, healthcare and commerce.

A Global Innovator. The company’s technology incorporates laser light sources that operate on a nano scale, using deep ultraviolet (DUV) and extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light wavelengths to print ever-smaller circuit patterns on silicon microchips. These smaller chips give rise to faster, more powerful devices. In order to support large-scale growth with the launch of its EUV technology, ASML sought to attract a new generation of talent. They approached TELLIT to develop an exhibit that would make their innovation and impact accessible and inspiring to prospects, employees, partners, customers and other visitors.

An Immersive Experience. The TELLIT team created the ASML Light Lab, an immersive, interactive experience center that presents ASML’s groundbreaking innovations to visitors at all experience and education levels. We began by developing a movie that provides a high-level view of the company’s position as a driver of the global tech industry. We designed the Light Lab to include a series of interactive activities that spotlight some of the most compelling challenges that ASML engineers solve every day. These activities put the technology on a relatable scale that is entertaining and educational enough for school children, while offering a level of detail engaging enough for science and tech recruits. On the surrounding walls, we developed an array of interactive displays and murals that offer a deeper look at the company’s history and products – including an artifacts space, where visitors can see key pieces of the light sources up close.
